  • Theme for the month

August is Inclusion Awareness month at Seenu Atoll School. Our theme for the month : “Inclusion is everybody’s business” focuses on making everyone realize that they can play a tremendous role in making Inclusion happen at school, in education, and in the community. This month we will be having circle time activities/discussion based on Inclusion, respecting diversity and individual differences. we will also provide reading materials related to Inclusion during reading time every week which will be used by students to prepare for a quiz on Inclusion at the end of the month. To make it more interesting we are also having a poster drawing competition open for all students and we will end this Program with a Walk, which would create awareness among our local community about Inclusion.Let Inclusion be the talk of the month.

  • Library Day 2019

  • Reading corner in each classroom

One of the projects initiated by SAM this year is to introduce a stress release corner/a reading corner in each classroom. In the first Phase of the project, a corner is established in each classroom by making it a comfortable space for the students to sit, relax and read. Students can use the corner when students are off-task during the session, as per the guideline. Also, students are being introduced to Board games during the session as a stress release activity. To make it a more relaxing environment indoor plants are kept in classrooms. Research has proven that indoor plants in schools help to reduce stress, tension, and feelings of anxiety. We would like to thank all the students, class teachers and parents for their immense support to establish these areas. With your support and contributions, we will work towards our targets for the year

  • 22nd Inter School Netball Tournament

It was a Challenging, but a worthwhile and an unforgettable experience for our team to participate in the 22nd Inter School Netball Tournament. We have played against Hiriyaa School, Thaajudheen School and Aminiyya School and have lost two matches while we won the last match (Aminiyya vs SAM). All these matches were different and our team did their best. We have learned so much and we have identified areas for improvement. Our main objective was to provide an opportunity for our students to develop their skill and talent. We are not going to give up and we will get ready for the next tournament, In Sha Allah. Although we were questioned if we could compete at national level, we have shown that with limited resources (including Human Resources ) and with a student population less than 200, we also have the skills and the ability to compete at national level. Well done Team. We are proud of your performance in this first experience. 👏👏👏
